Dear Void Linux friends
I’ve burnt the void-live-x86_64-20171007.iso (net install, no desktop) on a USB stick and replaced Arch Linux by Void on my dual-boot desktop PC (MBR boot). No problems at all, and the system runs like a charm. I’m very happy with it
Now I wanted to do the same on my dual-boot MacBook Air (EFI boot), but the internal HD does not show up when booting from the Void USB stick and entering “lsblk” or “blkid” in the terminal. Only the USB stick appears as “sdb1” and “sdb2”.
Likewise, “fdisk -l” shows “/dev/loop”, “/dev/sdb” and “/dev/mapper”, but no “/dev/sda”.
“ls /dev” shows “sda”, “sdb”, “sdb1” and “sdb2”.
When booting from an Arch USB installation stick and entering “lsblk”, “sda1” to “sda5” show up as expected, “sda4” being the Arch Linux partition of the MacBook.
What can I do to make the internal HD of the MacBook Air available when booting from the Void USB stick? I’d be greteful for any suggestions.
Many thanks and best regards!
