I’m on an UltraLap 5330
Memory: 32 GB DDR4-2133
Video Card: Intel HD (included)
with the glibc 64bit Void.
Today (Sunday, Dec 24) I’ve started encountering this issue: sporadic (two thus far) complete freezes; no mouse, no keyboard, no reaction of any kind. I can log in remotely and see that Xorg is eating up 100% of the CPU, but I can’t kill the process. Killall does nothing, and ditto for kill -9. They return code 0 but the process keeps running.
The only solution on both occasions has been to reboot.
I was on the 4.15-rc3 and rc4 kernels respectively, compiled with “make oldconfig” using the standard Void config file. I haven’t been on the latest Void kernel (4.14.6 at the time of this writing) to tell whether it too behaves like this.
Has anyone encountered similar issues?
